Ministry
“One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts.” Ps. 145.4
The spiritual health of a church is dependent upon discipleship, community, and worship – the continuance and longevity of a church is dependent upon how well we intentionally pass on a spiritual heritage to the generations which follow.
The Church has taken great strides to remove many of the areas of division and separation; gender, race, ethnicity, economics, social standing, etc. One area, however, that has been overlooked is that of age.
Christian Assembly is devoted to developing ministry that is inclusive of all age groups. Each generation has something to offer to every other generation, so that the work of the Lord can be expanded and move forward.
While there is great benefit in maintaining “age appropriate” discipleship classes, we are also committed to creating opportunities to “do ministry” together, across generational lines.
If the ministry of CA is to reach out to the culture around us, for the sake of the Gospel, it is vital that the voice of every generation be a part of our message and how we communicate it.
